Meet the team at preferred childcare

Megan Metzger

Founder and President
Megan Metzger founded Preferred ChildCare, Inc in 2001 as a resource for families to find quality childcare providers. Megan has worked with children for over twenty years as a nanny, a KinderMusik educator, a preschool teacher, and an experienced childcare provider. Megan is a mom to kids, Hunter, Lily and Emma Grace and Mason. She brings her experience, passion for children, and insight as a Mom to create the best team of ChildCare Specialists and find the perfect matches for families throughout the Triad. She is the past President of The International Nanny Association and shares her knowledge and experience with agency owners across the globe in her consulting business, Megan Metzger Consulting.

Kate Jones

Chief Operations Officer
Kate Jones hails from the North and has a degree in Psychology from Stockton University in New Jersey. She moved down to North Carolina to be with her husband, Stephen in 2012. Kate has worked with Preferred ChildCare as a ChildCare Specialist, Answering Service Representative and Office Manager. She is now our Chief Operating Officer and handles all management of our office team, client & nanny relations, and backend for the company. Dubbed Megan’s “better business half” Kate enjoys attending industry conferences and is always learning more about business. Kate loves reading a good book, when she’s not sprinting in ultimate frisbee games! Kate is also very involved in her church, College Park Baptist, where she serves on their deacon board and sings in the adult choir.

Mary Couillard

Executive Placement Coordinator
Mary Couillard has lived in Jamestown, North Carolina her whole life and continues to live there with her husband Andrew. She attended Appalachian State University with a double major in Advertising and Public Relations, graduating in December of 2019. Mary is our newest member at Preferred Childcare and originally applied to be a nanny, but ended up getting the position of Executive Placement Coordinator. When she’s not in the office, Mary is most likely hiking, building furniture or exploring new cities with her husband!

Nico Rellis

Nico has been practicing Recruitment, Marketing, and Sourcing since 2012. Nico uses Digital Marketing (specifically social media sites) to attract the right market or demographics by using online advertisements, geo-targeting functions, keyword analytics, and other branding efforts. He is currently the head Recruiter for Preferred Childcare working closely with the team to find quality nannies for both part-time and full-time roles. Outside work, he loves going on trips to beaches, hanging out with friends and family, and photography.

Maraesha Wilson

Director of People Operations
Maraesha Wilson was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. She has been working with Preferred Child Care since 2018, where she started as a nanny, but her career and love for childcare goes back a decade. Maraesha has experience working with children of the YWCA and with families with children ages ranging from newborns to early teens. Maraesha joined the Preferred ChildCare office team after nannying full time for our President, Megan. She understands all aspects of the business and ensures everyone she comes across feels respected and appreciated. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, dancing, panting and volunteering.

Liz Faulkner

Online Marketing Assistant
Liz Faulkner is a virtual assistant from Vancouver, Canada helping Megan and the PCC team behind the scenes with marketing materials and anything else that may come up. Before working virtually with clients as an assistant, she taught English as a second language for almost 20 years. When she’s not on her laptop, she’s baking, swimming, traveling or hanging out with her husband and Westie dog.

Jasmine Elyse

Social Media Manager
Jasmine Elyse currently resides in Texas and is originally from the midwest. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri - Columbia and began her career as a classroom teacher in Houston, TX. After working over ten years in public education, Jasmine transitioned to working online as a virtual support professional to accommodate her growing family. She works with Preferred Childcare to create dynamic and engaging marketing content. When she isn’t creating content, Jasmine enjoys going on adventures with her family of 6. They like being outdoors on the Gulf or having movie nights on the couch.
