Megan Metzger founded Preferred ChildCare in 2001 while obtaining a degree in Business from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The idea to create Preferred ChildCare came from one of her favorite clients who voiced in an exasperated tone how nice it would be to have one number to call to be guaranteed a sitter. Using the many connections she had created between sitters and families, Megan did just that. Today Preferred ChildCare assists over 1000 families throughout the Triad and provides jobs for over 180 ChildCare Specialists and Nannies. Megan has worked with children for over twenty years as a nanny, a KinderMusik educator, a preschool teacher, and an experienced childcare provider. She is an executive board member for the International Nanny Association and owner of Megan Metzger Consulting. Most importantly, Megan is a Mom to three young children, Hunter, Lily and Emma Grace. She brings her experience, passion for children, and insight as a Mom to create the best team of ChildCare Specialists and find the perfect matches for families throughout the Triad.
