Preferred Childcare does not employ the nannies; however, we will guide you through our recommended payroll provider, GTM.
Do I have to pay taxes on nanny wages?
Yes, as an employer, you are responsible for paying nanny taxes, including Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment taxes. We have a list of preferred providers to assist you through the process.
Will the nanny help with household chores?
Nannies are open to light housekeeping tasks related to the children (like cleaning up after meals or tidying play areas); however, childcare is a Nannies’ primary focus. A Family/Nanny Assistant can be more hands on when it comes to maintaining a clean and organized home.
What happens if things don’t work out with the nanny I choose?
If you feel like the Nanny isn't a good fit for your family, we offer support in resolving issues or, if needed, will help you find a replacement as quickly as possible.
How long does it take to find a nanny?
The process typically takes between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on your specific requirements and the availability of candidates.
